Dr Ojukwu’s research intersects through major aspects of health including: racial and gender health disparities, minority health, maternal-infant health, sexual health, social determinants of health, management of chronic illnesses and infectious diseases, health promotion, among others. For her dissertation, she focused on the social determinants of HIV treatment engagement among black postpartum women living with HIV in South, Florida, USA. She is proficient in quantitative, qualitative, mixed analytical research methods, literature reviews, concept analyses, and psychometric analyses. She also developed a psychometric measure on HIV treatment engagement (HTE) currently being tested in a study of minority older women living with HIV in Miami, Florida, USA. She remains focused on research that promotes health of marginalized populations.
